Tricks On Flash Curing

Among the most profitable business nowadays is screen printing. Since there are plenty of things that can be done through screen printing, many people are viewing this printing technique as a good income-generating venture. Screen printing can be done on many materials but the most common is on fabrics. Among the most cost-effective products from screen printing are T-shirts.

Before the advent of certain technologies, T-shirt printing is a laborious task, most especially if you are on the business of T-shirt printing and you have to produce hundreds of T-shirts a day. With new technologies like flash curing, the labor-intensive job of printing T-shirts has gradually reduced.

There are certain things you should take note of when you are flash curing in between colors. First of all, you should pay attention to certain parameters in flash curing, like choice of ink and mesh selection. The whole process of flash curing relies on these two elements, so it is better to have an in-depth knowledge about them.

One technique in flash curing involves avoiding the overlap of textile inks onto plastisol-cured plastic ink underbase. This can result in fading of colors when the T-shirt is washed. To prevent this, you should only flash cure when an underbase ink is completely dry. Another trick in flash curing is using an underbase of adequate opacity that produces satisfactory flash results for dark-colored garments. Using metallics on T-shirt printing should be avoided because it has reflective properties that repel the entire flashing process.
